Pennington School holds Evening of the Arts

Pennington School held its Evening of the Arts show on Thursday, June 1, 2023.  The art show was designed as a sculpture garden gallery walk.  Students in first through sixth grade had artwork on display and invited their parents to visit and view their artwork.

Pennington also held a concert on the same night. Parents had the opportunity to listen to their children’s singing after viewing their art.

Students marched down the hallways at Pennington School as their peers cheered them on with homemade signs and drumline performances on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. The pep rally was held in preparation for state testing on Thursday and Friday, when scholars from third through eighth grade will be taking the New York State ELA exam.

Blue filled the hallways of Pennington School to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. In preparation for the day, Pennington School Principal Dr. Melissa White created specially designed apparel that staff were able to purchase.

The week of March 18, 2024, scholars at Pennington School participated in Agricultural Literacy Week. Second grade students read the book “I Love Strawberries” and completed activities to learn about the life cycle of a strawberry plant. Each participating teacher received the hardcover book to add to their classroom libraries.

Young ladies in stylized hats and pastel-dresses gathered at the media center at Pennington School with anticipation for the first Women’s History Month Derby Tea Party Celebration on Thursday, March 14, 2024. In preparation for the event, students took etiquette classes taught by Crystal Breaux, special committee assistant, twice a week for four weeks. Here, they learned how to sit properly at the dining table, how to set up a table, and how to mix and mingle with others while dining.

Pennington School held its first Middle School Pajama Jam on Friday, March 1, 2024. Students in seventh and eighth grade wore their pajamas, ate pizza and learned new Tik Tok dances with a popular celebrity choreographer and DJ.

First grade scholars at Pennington School celebrated the 100th day of school by making displays containing 100 items each on Friday, February 16, 2024. They were able to design it however they wanted, so their projects showcased the many creative ways they could show 100 units of different items.
